Columbia Ski Bum Scholarship
Columbia Sportswear, a leading outdoor apparel and accessories brand, wanted to support young athletes pursuing their passion for skiing by providing financial assistance through the "Ski Bum Scholarship" program, which paid for a three month all-inclusive ski-bum lifestyle in Whistler, Canada.
To promote the scholarship program, we partnered with Columbia Sportswear to create a campaign that leveraged social media, influencer partnerships, and user-generated content to engage with its target audience.
This microsite was created to inspire applicants to share their own stories of pursuing their passion for skiing and apply for the scholarship by sharing their own skiing stories and photos using the hashtag #SkiBumScholarship.
The campaign generated a significant amount of user-generated content, with applicants sharing their stories and photos on social media. Columbia Sportswear featured some of the best entries on their social media channels, helping to build buzz and increase awareness of the scholarship program. The brand also created a dedicated landing page on their website, providing more information about the scholarship program and encouraging interested applicants to apply.
The Ski Bum Scholarship campaign was a huge success, generating over 5,000 applications in its first year. The campaign reached over 5 million people on social media, with over 10,000 social media posts using the #SkiBumScholarship hashtag.
